Summary
The Strategic Finance Analyst supports the company's cross-departmental long-term planning and forecasting efforts. The role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing the company’s Strategic Model. Key functions include providing data-driven insight to Allegiant’s leadership to support the company’s decision-making process.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Education Details: Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics and/or Engineering.
Years of Experience: Minimum one (1) year of experience in business, economics and/or math, and ability to create spreadsheet models and produce relevant outputs.
•Must be able to work in a high-pressure environment.
•Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position.
•Technical Proficiency: Strong quantitative, qualitative, financial acumen, and scenario analysis skills. Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint, Excel).
•Advanced Financial Modeling: Proficiency in building and interpreting complex financial models is crucial. This includes the ability to model balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows to provide strategic insights and forecast financial outcomes.
•Airline Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the specific challenges and opportunities in the aviation industry, understanding of financial statements and GAAP vs. non-GAAP accounting, quantitative analysis of supply and demand dynamics in commodity markets, evaluation of return generation in capital-intensive landscapes, and strategic management of cost-efficiency measures within the context of the airline industry.

Preferred Requirements
•Airline or transport interest.
•Tableau, Python, SQL/Athena, and SAP experience.
•Master’s degree.
•Aircraft Financing Knowledge: Understanding of various aircraft financing mechanisms, including Enhanced Equipment Trust Certificates (EETC), sale-leaseback arrangements, finance leases, mortgage debt, and Japanese Operating Lease with Call Option (JOLCO). This knowledge should support strategic decision-making in fleet management and capital expenditure.
•Capital Markets Acumen: Practical experience with capital markets, focusing on how they influence and interact with the aviation sector. Familiarity with the dynamics of equity and debt markets pertaining to the airline industry.
•Investment Strategy Insight: Grasp of valuation methodologies specific to capital-intensive industries, particularly how they are applied within the aviation sector. Understanding the investment landscape from both an equity and debt perspective, including balancing shareholder-friendly policies with creditor-friendly strategies.
•Industry-Specific Financial Analysis: Knowledge of the airline industry’s financial frameworks, including GAAP and non-GAAP accounting practices, is preferred. Familiarity with various airline-specific data sources, including SEC filings, DOT Form 41/T-100/O&D, and ICAO M3. This should encompass a nuanced understanding of financial statement analysis, strategic management of cost-efficiency measures, and route profitability analysis.
Job Duties
•Maintain and improve the company’s Strategic Model and update senior leadership.
•Update Allegiant’s peers' financial models (OAL's) and update leadership on the industry's financial performance.
•Provide recurring updates to our credit agencies on Allegiant’s future financial performance, capital structure, and ad-hoc data requests from agencies.
•Produce materials for quarterly board meetings and earnings calls to support leadership.
•Produce ad-hoc analysis as needed, supporting the Investor Relations, Sustainability, and Finance teams.
•Model Allegiant's customer service standards in personal actions and when providing direction.
•Other duties as assigned.

Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
