Summary:

The Strategic Initiatives Program Manager, RCM leads strategic, cross-functional programs that drive operational efficiency across Billing Services in direct support of the Billing Services leadership team. This role owns the planning, execution, and reporting of high-impact initiatives spanning all revenue cycle functions and operations.

The ideal candidate combines strong revenue cycle knowledge with disciplined program management, data-driven analysis, and the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead strategic programs and projects that drive operational efficiency, cost reduction, and performance improvement across Billing Services
Partner with the COO and Billing Services leadership team to translate strategic priorities into structured programs with clear scope, milestones, owners, and measurable outcomes
Build and maintain program roadmaps, project plans, status reporting, risk and issue logs, and executive-level dashboards
Establish governance routines with partners and internal stakeholders, including recurring business reviews, performance scorecards, and corrective action plans
Analyze workflows, staffing models, and productivity data to identify automation, standardization, and process improvement opportunities across the revenue cycle
Develop business cases, cost/benefit analyses, and return on investment models to support leadership decision-making on strategic initiatives
Partner with Operations, Development, IT/Product, Compliance, Finance, HR, and Training to ensure programs are resourced, sequenced, and delivered on time
Ensure all processes meet federal, state, and payer regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, PHI handling, and data security standards
Define and document standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflow documentation, and training materials required to support new or transitioned processes
Track realized benefits post-implementation and report results, risks, and course corrections to leadership
Lead change management and communication plans to drive adoption of new processes across teams
Support integration and onboarding activities related to acquisitions, new clients, and new service lines as assigned
Facilitate cross-functional meetings, drive accountability for action items, and remove barriers to program execution
Ability to independently manage all aspects of the job role including required goals and business practices in a remote environment

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field preferred
5+ years of experience in revenue cycle management, healthcare operations, or a related field preferred
3+ years of program or project management experience leading cross-functional, multi-site initiatives
Strong knowledge of the end-to-end revenue cycle, including billing, coding, claims, denials, collections, and payer requirements
Demonstrated experience building business cases, performance scorecards, and executive-level reporting
Project management certification (PMP, Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent) preferred
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word); experience with project management and business intelligence tools preferred
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations
Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, including with executive leadership and external partners
Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive change without direct authority
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and deadlines
Experience working in a metrics-driven, fast-paced operational environment
Commitment to accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement
Ability to work across time zones to support operational teams and periodic travel as required
