Strategic Planning Officer

Summary

Support Enerwave’s long-term strategy by analyzing energy markets, tracking KPIs, and coordinating cross-functional initiatives to drive business planning and ESG integration.

Optimal, on behalf of its client Enerwave, member of HELLENiQ ENERGY and a leader in providing outstanding and innovative energy solutions, is seeking a Strategic Planning Officer.

Scope of role

The Strategic Planning Officer will contribute to the effective execution of the company's strategy by conducting market analysis and competition benchmarking, identifying trends and opportunities that inform strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and periodic update of the company’s long‑term strategy, including scenario planning and market analysis
  • Support the annual business planning process through market research, data analysis and consolidation of data input from Business Units
  • Monitor market and technological developments, conduct competition benchmarking
  • Monitor the Business Plan KPIs and perform periodic reporting
  • Support transformation PMO activities by coordinating cross‑functional efforts, tracking project milestones, and ensuring timely execution of strategic initiatives
  • Support development and update of the ESG strategy, integrating material topics and shareholder vision/expectations
  • Maintain structured documentation on Business Plan metrics/data
  • Prepare presentations and corporate communication material

Requirements

  • A BSc in Engineering or Economics
  • Energy-related post-graduate degree or MBA is considered an asset
  • 4+ years of experience in market analysis, business planning processes, KPI monitoring, competition benchmarking, and preparation of performance reports, gained either in-house or through a strategy consulting background.
  • Proficiency in the English language
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Data analysis tools, Power BI
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess strategic and business developments within the energy industry
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and collaborating with external partners
  • Excellent presentation and reporting skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Teamwork and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
