Your Role

As a Strategic Projects Lead (SPL) — Law & Legal, you will own end-to-end execution for projects with our top AI Lab customers, with a strong focus on legal and law-related work. You will translate customer needs into clear project specifications, design and launch domain-specific data pipelines, and align Operations and Legal experts to deliver quickly and at a high quality.

What You'll Do

1. Own projects end to end, from pipeline framing and scoping through execution and delivery.
2. Translate customer needs into clear, actionable project specifications for Legal workflows.
3. Design and continuously improve domain-specific pipelines for usability, accuracy, quality, and scalability.
4. Align Operations and Legal domain experts for rapid deployment.
5. Set delivery milestones and drive a tight execution cadence.
6. Own client communication, keeping it clear, direct, and consistent.
7. Manage Legal domain experts and project leads to ensure quality and delivery.
8. Provide daily internal updates with progress, blockers, and explicit next steps.

What We're Looking For

1. JD (Juris Doctor) or equivalent law degree required.
2. 2+ years of professional experience in legal practice, legal research, regulatory/compliance, or a related field.
3. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly when working with attorneys and senior Legal experts.
4. Strong ownership, urgency, and attention to detail.
5. Startup and entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward execution.
6. 2+ years of experience leading complex projects, operational workflows, or legal-related initiatives.
7. Ability to turn ambiguous customer requirements into clear plans and execute rapidly.
8. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience working with AI/ML companies, AI Labs, or data annotation/evaluation projects.
2. Experience managing legal, technical, or data-intensive projects.
3. Familiarity with legal research, contract analysis, litigation, regulatory/compliance work, or other complex Legal workflows.
4. Familiarity with data pipelines, AI training workflows, and human-in-the-loop operations.

Compensation & Benefits Notice

The national pay range for this full-time position is base salary of $180,000 –$230,000 USD. All employees are eligible for equity compensation, and employees may also receive performance-based bonuses, dependent on role and subject to company policies. micro1 provides a comprehensive benefits package, including up to 100% reimbursement for health-insurance premiums, paid time off, a 401(K) plan with a company match, and additional benefits designed to support a high-performing, remote-first workforce.
