Strategic Sales Executive – Fleet and Asset Technology
The Strategic Sales Executive is responsible for driving new business across the diverse industries served by Pedigree Technologies. Our customers operate complex fleets and field operations across transportation and hauling, oil & gas and energy, construction, equipment rental, food and beverage distribution, contracted services, and other mixed-fleet and asset-intensive industries.
This role will work directly with organizations ranging from regional operators to large enterprise fleets managing hundreds or thousands of vehicles, trailers, heavy equipment, tanks, and other mobile and fixed assets.
The Strategic Sales Executive will take a consultative approach to understanding each prospect's operational challenges and identifying how Pedigree Technologies' OneView™ platform and connected solutions can improve visibility, safety, compliance, asset utilization, maintenance, productivity, and overall fleet performance.
Responsibilities include prospecting and business development, technology and operational assessments, solution presentations, product demonstrations, development of strategic proposals, and contract negotiations with prospective customers.
Primary Responsibilities
· Grow new business revenue and consistently achieve or exceed established sales targets.
· Develop and execute short- and long-term territory and account strategies that support company growth objectives.
· Proactively identify and develop new opportunities through prospecting, networking, industry relationships, referrals, events, and other business development activities.
· Build relationships with fleet, operations, safety, maintenance, technology, and executive-level decision-makers across transportation, construction, oil & gas, equipment rental, food and beverage distribution, contracted services, and other asset-intensive industries.
· Develop a strong understanding of prospective customers' operational challenges and recommend solutions aligned with their business needs.
· Become highly knowledgeable about the capabilities of the OneView™ platform and Pedigree Technologies' portfolio of fleet, asset, safety, compliance, maintenance, IoT, and telematics solutions.
· Lead product demonstrations and presentations that clearly connect technology capabilities to measurable customer outcomes.
· Maintain accurate and timely opportunity, account, activity, and pipeline information in Salesforce.
· Manage opportunities throughout the complete sales cycle, from initial prospecting and discovery through proposal, negotiation, close, and handoff to implementation and customer success teams.
· Follow established sales processes, pricing policies, and company best practices while bringing forward opportunities to improve sales effectiveness.
· Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, emerging technologies, competitive solutions, and evolving customer needs across the markets Pedigree serves.
· Represent Pedigree Technologies at industry events, trade shows, association meetings, customer meetings, and other business development opportunities.
· Collaborate with Marketing, Customer Success, Product, and other internal teams to strengthen the customer experience and support continued company growth.
Qualifications
· Five or more years of proven success in consultative sales, B2B software, SaaS, telematics, IoT, fleet technology, or technology solution sales.
· Experience selling into one or more of Pedigree Technologies' key markets, including transportation and logistics, construction, heavy equipment, oil & gas/energy, equipment rental, food and beverage distribution, contracted services, or other fleet- and asset-intensive industries.
· Experience selling complex solutions involving multiple stakeholders and longer sales cycles.
· Knowledge of fleet operations, asset management, telematics, IoT, ELD/compliance, safety technology, maintenance technology, or related solutions is strongly preferred.
· Proficiency with CRM platforms; Salesforce experience preferred.
· Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
· Demonstrated initiative and the ability to confidently lead customer conversations, uncover business challenges, and build trusted relationships.
· Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
· Ability and willingness to travel throughout the United States and internationally as business needs require up to 50%.
