As Strategic Third Party Manufacturing Network Manager, you will play a key role in defining how third-party manufacturing supports Döhler’s long-term growth, resilience, and flexibility. Acting as a strategic partner within our Group 3PM function, you will analyze network needs, develop business cases, and provide data-driven recommendations for senior management. This role is ideal for a strategic supply chain professional with strong analytical skills, cross-functional experience, and a passion for shaping robust manufacturing networks.
Your Responsibilities
- Assess where and when third-party manufacturing is strategically needed across our global network
- Identify structural gaps, flexibility needs, and future business requirements
- Evaluate the current 3PM footprint, including partner capabilities, technologies, and geographic coverage
- Develop network scenarios and business cases based on cost, capacity, service, and demand factors
- Prepare strategic recommendations and decision papers for senior management
- Translate network strategy into clear requirements for sourcing and operational 3PM teams
- Drive cross-functional alignments across supply chain, production, planning, and business stakeholders
- Develop governance standards, make-or-buy frameworks, and strategic planning processes
Your Profile
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or similar
- Several years of experience in supply chain strategy, network design, operations strategy, or strategic sourcing
- Strong understanding of make-or-buy decisions, manufacturing networks, and external manufacturing models
- Experience in international and cross-functional environments
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Structured, self-driven, and solution-oriented way of working
- FMCG experience is a strong advantage
- Business-fluent English; German is a plus
- Willingness to travel as needed
