ManagerJob Description & Summary
Australia's Energy, Utilities & Resources sector is undergoing significant transformation. The convergence of the energy transition, decarbonisation, regulatory reform, evolving commodity cycles and shifting competitive dynamics is forcing miners, energy producers and utilities to fundamentally rethink how they create value. Strategy& is at the centre of that conversation — and we're looking for a Manager to play a key role in it.
Strategy& is PwC's global strategy consulting business. In Australia, we define enterprise strategy, design operating models and deliver transformation for the institutions shaping this market. Our work spans from boardroom agenda-setting through to execution — and our clients expect us to bridge the two. That combination of strategic rigour and delivery depth, backed by PwC's broader capabilities, is what sets us apart.
This role places you at the heart of complex, high-stakes engagements. You will develop and test hypotheses, drive workstreams forward and shape recommendations that executives act on. But this isn't just about analytical horsepower. You'll operate in lean, dynamic teams that shift with each engagement — meaning you need to step up, collaborate across levels and build trust fast. You will also support business development and thought leadership efforts, contributing to our point of view on the issues that matter most to the sector.
We're looking for someone who brings genuine Energy, Utilities & Resources knowledge — whether you've built that inside a mining company, energy producer, utility, in a strategy firm or within PwC's own network. What matters is that you understand how these organisations operate, the regulatory and policy landscape they navigate, and what's driving their strategic agenda. Combine that with a hypothesis-driven approach, commercial awareness and the ability to thrive in diverse teams, and you'll do well here.
If you want to work on strategic questions and problems that matter, with a team that values intellectual honesty, action and impact — this is the role.

- ownership of deliverables, ensuring reports, presentations and strategic frameworks are sharp, well-structured and effectively communicate our point of view.
- Support business development and thought leadership activities, helping to shape our perspective on the strategic issues affecting the Energy, Utilities & Resources sector.
What we're looking for:
