Leads analytics-driven commercial strategy for a biotech firm, translating healthcare datasets into actionable insights and BI dashboards to guide HCP targeting, patient journeys, and launch performance.
The Director Insights & Performance Analytics is responsible for turning analytics outputs into actionable commercial insights, building the visualization and reporting layer that disseminates these insights across the organization, and ensuring they are reflected in the commercial strategy. The role sits at the intersection of the core analytics function, the field organization, and senior commercial leadership, translating complex datasets (claims, EHR, payer, script, marketing engagement, …) into a clear narrative on patient dynamics, HCP behavior, and launch performance.

- Insights generation & patient journey analytics
- Patient journey insights: Extract and synthesize insights from patient journey analyses, leveraging claims, EHR, payer, script, and other relevant datasets, in close collaboration with the core analytics team
- Insight translation: Translate analytical outputs into clear, decision-ready narratives for key stakeholders across commercial, medical and senior company leadership
- Unified data view: Connect findings across data sources to build a unified view of HCP behavior, patient flow, and market dynamics
- Business intelligence (BI) reporting & launch-tracking
- BI reporting layer: Lead the implementation of the company's BI reporting layer, including the underlying data flows, governance, and end-user dashboards
- Launch tracking dashboards: Build and maintain field-activity and launch performance dashboards tailored to commercial leadership
- Segmentation, targeting & field deployment
- HCP & patient segmentation: Contribute to the design and refresh of HCP and patient segmentation, in close partnership with the Marketing team
- Targeting & tiering models: Refine and update HCP targeting, tiering, and call frequency models, incorporating new dataset updates and qualitative inputs from the field team
- Territory design: Refresh territory alignment in line with the latest HCP tiering, ensuring balanced workload, opportunity coverage, and field deployment efficiency
- Field feedback loop: Establish a structured mechanism to incorporate field intelligence into targeting and tiering refinements over time
- AOR data & performance tracking
- AOR data oversight: Manage the AOR partnership from a data perspective, ensuring an adequate level of control and transparency over key data streams
- Marketing investment analytics: Oversee the analytics on marketing dollar allocation across channels and the resulting performance/ return
Job Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Advanced degree (MSc, MBA, PhD, PharmD, or MD) strongly preferred
- 6+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech commercial analytics, with direct exposure to launch analytics strongly preferred
- Proven track record in HCP segmentation, targeting, tiering, call planning, and territory design
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing BI reporting layers and launch tracking dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Experience managing agency or vendor partnerships from a data and performance accountability standpoint
- Launch experience in Immunology or specialty/biologic products is a plus
- Deep familiarity with U.S. healthcare datasets (claims, EHR, payer, script, specialty pharmacy, and others) and how to combine them to generate actionable insights
- Strong ability to translate complex analytics into clear narratives and executive-ready materials
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and stakeholder management skills
- Exceptional communication skills, with experience presenting to senior commercial leadership
