The Strategy, Contracting & Pricing Lead is, in line with pre-defined group policies, responsible for building and executing the U.S. pricing, contracting, and access strategy for the company's launch assets. This role ensures pricing decisions are evidence-driven, access-enabled, and compliant with commercial and government regulations. The lead will outline the pricing strategy considering the overall company strategy, develop contracting frameworks, manage gross-to-net (GTN) forecasting, oversee payer deal analytics. As part of the core U.S. Market Access leadership team, this individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial access profile and payer engagement strategy pre- and post-launch.

- Pre-Launch (T–24 to Launch)
- Pricing strategy & landscape assessment: Outline U.S. pricing strategy considering the overall company strategy and incorporating competitive intelligence, analog analysis, and anticipated value differentiation
- Forecasting & GTN modelling: Lead development of gross-to-net forecasts, including payer-specific assumptions and waterfall modelling
- Contracting strategy & frameworks: Execute U.S. payer contracting approach, including rebate structures, contract archetypes, and value-based agreement considerations
- Contracting infrastructure & governance: Develop compliant contracting processes, escalation workflows, approval governance, and contract templates in collaboration with legal and compliance
- Deal analytics: Create payer-specific contract models and simulations to assess financial and access trade-offs
- Government pricing readiness: Oversee preparation for CMS submission requirements (AMP, BP), Medicaid Drug Rebate Program setup, and 340B eligibility and pricing strategy
- Co-pay & affordability strategy: Provide pricing input into co-pay, PAP, and bridge program design from a GTN and access impact lens
- Training & compliance: Conduct field pricing training and establish negotiation guardrails for payer account leads and field reimbursement managers
- Payer collaboration: Collaborate with payer marketing and payer account leads to ensure a coherent value proposition, aligned engagement strategy, and field readiness
- Post-Launch (T+0 to T+12 Months)
- Performance monitoring: Track contract execution, rebate pull-through, and pricing performance against forecast
- Contract analytics & optimization: Conduct post-deal ROI analysis to guide future contracting decisions and budget planning
- Pricing governance: Lead pricing committee for post-launch actions such as rebating adjustments, new payer agreements, and lifecycle pricing in accordance with group pricing policies
- Compliance & audit readiness: Maintain full documentation for all pricing and contracting decisions; support audits and internal reviews
- GTN adjustments: Refine GTN waterfall based on real-world payer behavior, formulary positioning, and emerging access dynamics
- Cross-functional support: Inform co-pay and affordability programs with pricing impact analysis as data becomes available
- Lifecycle pricing: Support pricing decisions for new indications, population expansions, or competitive responses
- Insights loop: Share learnings from contract and pricing performance with finance, brand, and access leadership to drive iterative improvement
Job Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Advanced degree (MSc, MBA, PhD, PharmD, or MD) strongly preferred
- 10+ years of U.S. market access experience
- Launch experience in Immunology products strongly preferred
- Experience managing government pricing strategy and compliance (Medicaid, AMP, BP, 340B)
- Experience in building pricing governance and operational infrastructure from the ground up is a plus
- Deep knowledge of U.S. payer landscape, rebate structures, gross-to-net forecasting, and contracting frameworks
- Proficiency in building deal analytics and GTN models and contract performance analytics, etc.
- Strong strategic thinking, financial acumen, and decision-making skills
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership
