Strong Junior Project manager

Open 23d

Summary

Junior Project Manager role at Tallium for someone with 1-1.5 years of IT coordination experience, mentored into full ownership of software projects using Jira/Confluence and client communication.

Hi!

We are looking for a Junior+ Project Manager to join our team and grow into ownership of real, live projects — with direct, one-on-one mentorship from our Senior PM, who is moving into a bigger role and will personally guide you into hers.
This is a long-term investment hire: we're optimizing for potential, mindset, and growth trajectory, not for a polished CV. If you're a junior developer or QA engineer who's recently moved into Project management, this role was built with you in mind.

Required Skills & Experience
1–1.5+ years of experience in management, coordination, or an adjacent role (this is a must - candidates with zero IT or PM background will not pass screening)
Strong analytical skills and critical thinking — you ask "why," structure your thinking, and notice inconsistencies
Basic understanding of the SDLC and the PM role — you can explain in your own words how software gets built and what a PM actually does
A real sense of ownership — evidence of taking initiative or driving something to completion without being asked
Confident written and spoken English, B2+-C1, (distributed team + client communication)

Nice to Have

Hands-on experience with Jira/Confluence
PM courses or certifications

Key Responsibilities

Support project delivery alongside your mentor: planning, task tracking, status updates, meeting follow-ups
Coordinate a distributed team day to day — keep communication flowing and remove blockers
Manage tasks and documentation in Jira and Confluence
Communicate with clients — supervised at first, independently over time
Track scope, timelines, and risks, and escalate early
Gradually take full ownership of projects from your mentor's portfolio

Why Join
Direct, one-on-one mentorship from an experienced Senior PM — structured and consistent, not "ask if you have questions"
Real projects and real responsibility from the start
A proven growth path: this role exists because the current PM grew into a bigger one
Fully remote, flexible, supportive team

Growth Path
First weeks: shadowing and supporting your mentor on her active projects. Next: your first fully owned project, with backup close by. Within 3–6 months: an independent PM with your own portfolio — and the ladder doesn't end there.

Please note: We carefully review every application, but will respond only to candidates whose skills and experience best match the role requirements. Thank you for your understanding!
