Suntec Concrete in Phoenix, AZ is hiring a Structural Engineer/Designer to perform gravity and lateral calculations for concrete building elements (post-tensioned slabs, columns, shear walls, tilt panels), redline and produce drawings in AutoCAD with optional Revit modeling, and support construction administration such as RFIs, shop drawing review, and site visits.
Calculations:
- Perform gravity & lateral calculations for concrete building elements including:
- Post tensioned slab design
- Mild reinforced slab design
- Concrete column design
- Lateral analysis & shear wall or moment frame design
- Calculations for miscellaneous minor steel framing such as canopies or elevator support framing
- Concrete tilt panel wall reinforcing
- Drawings:
- Redline drawings to coordinate with calculations
- Draw details for specific project conditions
- The ability to use or willingness to learn to use REVIT for 3D modeling is a plus
- Project Management & Construction Administration:
- Participate in coordination meetings with the project team
- Review and respond to RFI's
- Review shop drawings
- Provide project site visits when required
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (structural concentration preferred) & 3 years of relevant work experience
- AutoCAD, BIM, and Bluebeam experience desired but not required
- Detail oriented, organized and self-motivated
- Desire & willingness to learn
