Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team of transportation professionals servicing state and municipal clients throughout New England. This position would be based out of our Burlington, Boston or Quincy, MA offices but you would be part of a larger New England transportation design group with offices in South Burlington, VT; Portland, ME\: Auburn, NH; and several other satellite offices. The New England structures group consists of about 30 bridge staff with varied experience and project backgrounds.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop design plans, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates.
- Prepare, check, and deliver engineering calculations, reports, and technical studies.
- Guide and mentor junior staff.
- Build a strong culture of quality design and teamwork.
- Assist with or lead bridge inspection and load rating assignments.
- Carry out constructability reviews during the design of conventionally procured projects.
- Develop and present information to clients and the public.
- Coordinate with clients, agencies, subconsultants, and others to obtain and determine project requirements and approvals.
- Additional duties may include assisting the transportation leadership with project pursuits and proposal preparation.
