Central Texas Steel Erectors is hiring experienced Structural Steel Deckers for commercial projects throughout the Greater Austin Area.
Pay & Benefits
- $28.00 to $32.00/hour (depending on experience)
- Overtime available
- Steady, long-term work

Job Responsibilities
- Install metal roof and floor decking on structural steel buildings
- Lay out, position, and secure metal decking
- Install sidelaps, closures, and pour stops
- Operate screw guns, welding equipment, and powder-actuated tools as required
- Read and interpret structural drawings and deck layouts
- Work safely at heights while maintaining OSHA safety standards
- Work efficiently with the steel erection crew to keep projects on schedule
Requirements
- Previous structural steel decking experience required
- Experience installing metal deck on commercial steel structures
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to work at heights and lift 50+ lbs.
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced construction environment
