Structural Steel Engineer

Job Description:

Undertake detailed technical and structural designs, prepare calculation reports and shop drawings, instruct drafters and check/amend fabrication drawings.
Review and improve design and assumptions based on project requirements on competitive and economical approaches.
Liaise and coordinate with operation teams, clients, consultants and/or authorities on technical issues and to ensure design intents are met.
Provide technical engineering advice to comply with Singapore design standards, codes, specifications and authorities’ regulations.
Propose value engineering, design improvement, optimization and innovation to improve operation efficiency and maximize construction profit.
Follow up with projects in charged closely, visit factory and site to provide technical advices and supports to operation team.
Other ad hoc job assigned by Technical Manager or the Company.

Job Requirements:

Possess Bachelor Degree in Civil and/ or Structural Engineering that is recognised by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore.
Preferably to have 2 to 5 years’ experience in steel structure design/ earth retaining stabilizing structures design or equivalent.
Preferably to be conversant with Excel, Tekla Tedds and Staad.pro, etc as work required.
He/ she may need to visit sites as and when the situation requires.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday: 9am to 6pm
