Structural Steel Fitter / Welder-Fitter
Location: York, PA
Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Shift: 1st Shift
Pay Rates: Up to $25.00/hour, based on experience
Position Summary
We are seeking skilled steel fabrication professionals for first-shift positions in York, PA. Openings are available for Structural Steel Fitters and Welder-Fitters. Candidates should have experience working with structural steel, reading blueprints, and using fabrication equipment.
What You'll Do

Review blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications before starting projects.

Measure, mark, position, and fit steel components to meet project requirements.

Complete fitting, fabrication, and welding work based on the assigned position.

Set up and operate a track torch.

Safely use and maintain welding machines, tools, and related equipment.

Check finished work for proper measurements, accuracy, and quality.

Coordinate with coworkers and supervisors to complete jobs on schedule.

Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all shop safety procedures.
What We're Looking For
-
Previous structural steel fitting, welding, or fabrication experience.

Structural Steel Fitters: At least 3 years of structural steel fabrication experience.

Welder-Fitters: Previous experience with structural steel welding and fitting.

Ability to read and understand blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications.

Familiarity with welding processes, materials, and equipment.

Ability to set up and operate a track torch.

Welder-Fitter applicants must be able to pass all required Flux Core Welding tests.

AWS or other relevant welding certifications are preferred.

Strong measuring, layout, and attention-to-detail skills.
