Welder

I. SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Constructs and or repairs metal products either manually or by machine

II. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Welds a range of metals including but not limited to mild steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, copper, brass, die cast, chrome metal
  • Aware of safety regulations and must wear protective equipment to minimize heat and noise levels, and to guard against corrosive chemicals
  • Ability to read Blueprints and weld maps preferred
  • Ability to have all welds pass with QA/QC approval
  • Proper placement of stencils
  • Ability to follow all the Fabrication guidelines

III. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Pass a Weld Qualification Test
  • Provide your own personal tool in a lockable toolbox
  • Available for short - term travel

IV. REPORTING REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Education or equivalent
  • Possess a valid driver's license

V. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift, carry or otherwise move and position objects and materials weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk or otherwise move around on a continuous basis
