Structure Designer- E3D
Summary
A structure designer creates steel structure and pipe/HVAC support layouts in Aveva E3D, produces 2D fabrication drawings with BOM/MTO extraction, and runs clash reviews in Navisworks while coordinating across disciplines. Suited to a civil engineer experienced in steel fabrication detailing (Eurocode 3 for senior roles).
Duties & Responsibilities
Read & understand Structure & Support Module in E3D
Use E3D Structural module for layouts, views, sections, connections
Use E3D 2D Draw module for fabrication drawings
Review supports in Navisworks for clash analysis
Coordinate with disciplines for updates/modifications
Extract BOM/MTO for each drawing
Create & print A1/A3 fabrication drawings with BOM
Organize tasks per schedule, track team activities, report to Lead
Experience
Steel structure fabrication & erection works
Pipe & HVAC supports in E3D
Interface 2D CAD with Aveva E3D (Mandatory for senior roles)
Weld & bolt detailing per Eurocode 3 (Mandatory for senior roles)
Exposure to Nuclear/Industrial/Plant Engineering (Nice to have)
Team leadership in producing fabrication drawings (Mandatory for senior roles)
Education / Qualifications
Diploma/Bachelor in Civil Engineering
Strong knowledge of E3D 2D/3D & Draft modules
- Should have good understanding work commitments
- Preferred immediate joiner
