Student - Advocate for Community Engagement

Advocates for Community Engagement (ACEs) will serve as liaisons between specific community outreach sites and Butler University’s office which handles academic community affairs. ACEs work with Butler staff and outreach site personnel to plan and develop training and capacity building programs and to coordinate and oversee students involved with outreach and service learning at the assigned site.

  • Assist the Butler staff in managing the relationship with off-campus outreach sites.
  • Coordinate and track volunteers and service-learning students at assigned sites.
  • Report regularly to Butler staff regarding the functioning of the relationship and the activities of students providing service at the site.
  • Develop administrative structures and schedules, tutoring plans, curriculum plans, and/or documents related to grant funding and community outreach activities as directed by Butler Staff.
