Student Assistant - Commercial Business Management

As a Student Assistant in Commercial Business Management, you will support the work behind large commercial cases, investment decisions and strategic initiatives across the backbone infrastructure that is enabling AI-driven growth across Northern Europe.

What you need to succeed

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in strategy, finance, commercial management, business administration or a related field, with at least 2 years left of your studies.
  • Proficiency with financial modelling in Excel
  • Strong analytical skills and a good understanding of core financial concepts. Comfortable working with numbers, business cases and structured data.
  • Comfortable working with PowerPoint and able to help turn complex input into clear presentation material for senior stakeholders.
  • Curious about commercial strategy, infrastructure, investment decisions and how large business cases are built.
  • Familiarity with AI tools is a plus, as we see potential to automate and improve several of our processes.

About the role and the team

You will join Commercial Business Management, a team responsible for the commercial governance and strategic development of major infrastructure assets, including high-capacity fiber routes and data center solutions that help hyperscalers move, connect and host data across Northern Europe.

The team validates commercial input and financial assumptions, develops business cases for large infrastructure investments, and prepares decision material for senior leadership. This work supports the expansion of our backbone and high-capacity infrastructure, which is enabling AI-growth.

In this role, you will support the preparation, structure and follow-up of material used in commercial boards and senior decision forums. This includes business cases, investment recommendations and presentation material used to support decisions at senior management, CEO, CFO and Board level.

What you’ll be working on

  • Facilitate commercial board processes, including invites, agendas, stakeholder input, minutes, documentation and follow-up
  • Help collect and structure commercial input from internal stakeholders and support the validation of business cases
  • Support CAPEX and OPEX modelling by preparing data, calculations and decision material
  • Prepare and improve presentation material for senior stakeholders, including storyline, structure, formatting and visualisation
  • Help develop templates, reporting structures and ways of working that make commercial processes clearer and more efficient
  • Support performance management by structuring financial reporting, tracking performance against budgets and identifying improvement opportunities

Who you are

You enjoy working with both details and the bigger picture. You are structured, curious and motivated by creating clarity from complex input. You like working with stakeholders and are comfortable following up to keep processes moving.

You do not need to know everything from day one. What matters is that you are eager to learn, take responsibility and have an interest in commercial management, finance, strategy and critical digital infrastructure.

The position requires around 15–20 hours per week, with flexibility around exams and other academic commitments. It is based in Copenhagen.
