You’ll play a key role in helping us organise, visualise, and quality-check data related to mangrove planting, rainforest restoration, and other nature-based carbon activities, while also supporting the team with project due diligence. You’ll also support the team in developing efficient data workflows to improve data management, documentation, and analysis. Welcome to Bioenergy You’ll be part of Bioenergy Sustainability where you, together with your colleagues, will be part of a dedicated team working with nature-based carbon projects and you support the development, monitoring, and documentation of projects such as mangrove planting, rainforest restoration and other projects that contribute to climate action, biodiversity and sustainable land and costal management. Our work depends on reliable spatial data, clear mapping, and structured project information that can be used for planning, reporting, and decision-making. As a team, we work closely together across disciplines, and you’ll contribute with your capabilities and developing your own expertise in nature-based climate solutions. You’ll play an important role in: supporting GIS mapping and spatial analysis of mangrove planting, rainforest restoration, and other nature-based carbon project sites processing, structuring, and quality-checking spatial datasets, field data, satellite imagery, and other project-related information supporting the team with project due diligence by reviewing, organising, and analysing relevant project data and documentation. To succeed in the role, you: are currently studying a relevant university programme, e.g. BSc Natural Resources, BSC Geography and Geoinformatics, MSc Forest and Nature Management, MSc Nature Management, MSc Climate Change or similar and are preferably in the third year of your bachelor’s degree or the first year of your master’s degree preferable have experience with GIS software such as ArcGIS or QGIS proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Drive have a keen interest in nature conservation and sustainable natural resource management have a good understanding of biological processes and have familiarity with carbon sequestration of key habitats such as mangroves or tropical rainforests are able to work 20 hours weekly. Position salary range: For this position, the expected base pay range is kr165.00 - kr185.00 hourly for the advertised location. The offered base salary will be determined within this range based on relevant skills, experience, and expected role fulfilment within the stated salary range to ensure a fair and competitive offer. This job ad is primarily aimed at candidates earlier in their career or still developing experience within the field, so we anticipate the starting base salary will typically fall in the lower end of the stated range.
