RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This positio is for Office of Dean of Students (ODOS).
  • Wellbeing Promotion and Student Engagement
    • Design, implement and evaluate wellbeing promotion programmes, workshops, campaigns roadshows and student engagement initiatives for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
    • Develop and implement evidence-informed group programmes and micro-interventions that strengthen resilience, belonging and healthy coping.
    • Develop wellbeing resources and manage student engagement channels, including newsletters, social media and other communication platforms.
    • Foster meaningful student engagement through proactive outreach and participation in campus activities.
  • School partnership and Community Collaboration
    • Serve as the Student Wellness Centre's business partner to assigned Schools, building collaborative relationships with School Managers, faculty, student leaders and Constituent Bodies (CBds).
    • Work closely with Schools and campus partners to identify emerging student wellbeing needs and co-develop targeted wellbeing initiatives.
    • Serve as a key point of contact for Schools and administrative staff on student wellbeing matters, facilitating appropriate referrals to counselling, Student Accessibility Support (SAS) and other support services where required.
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including SMU Peer Helpers, SMU purple and other campus partners, to strengthen peer support, accessibility, inclusion and community wellbeing.
  • Programme Evaluation, Student Insights and Continuous Improvement
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of wellbeing programmes and initiatives using quantitative and qualitative data.
    • Manage and analyse findings from the Student Pulse Survey and other student feedback mechanisms to identify emerging needs and trends.
    • Prepare reports and recommendations to support programme planning, evaluation and continuous improvement.
    • Support the development and review of wellbeing resources, programmes and initiatives based on evaluation findings and student feedback.
  • Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • Candidate with at least 2 years of work experience are welcome to apply.
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in wellbeing, mental health, marketing and communications will be an advantage.
  • Strong interest in wellbeing, mental health promotion and community engagement.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with students, faculty, staff and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
  • Good facilitation, presentation and digital communication skills.
  • Ability to analyse feedback and data to identify needs and opportunities for improvement.
  • Adaptable, resourceful and comfortable working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
