Student Custodian

Newman University is looking for a student worker to assist the custodial services team. This position generally works in the evenings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Floor Maintenance – 40% (Daily)

1. Vacuuming room carpets and dorm room floors
2. Sweeping hallways, gym floors, bleacher stands, etc.

Custodial Cleaning and Trash Removal – 50% (Daily)

Clean all restrooms, lobbies, public areas, student rooms, etc. according to established daily practices:

1. Floor scrubbing/mopping
2. Trash removal
3. Stocking paper supplies
4. Glass cleaning and polishing
5. Sink and toilet bowl sanitation

Miscellaneous Assignments – 10% (As needed)

1. Moving tables and chairs
2. Cleaning equipment, etc.
3. Complete University-required trainings including FERPA and Title IX
