Student Management Officer (North East)

Student Management Officer

Key Responsibilities

1. StudentMisconduct Investigation

o Conduct interviews with students, victims and witnesses.

o Gather and review statements, CCTV footage and relevant evidence.

o Prepare objective investigation reports in accordance with schooland MOE guidelines.

o Liaise with external agencies when cases require escalation.

o Maintain strict confidentiality of student and case information.

2. Rehabilitation& Student Support

o Conduct regular one-to-one check-ins with students underrehabilitation.

o Monitor student progress and provide appropriate guidance andsupport.

o Engage parents/guardians in the rehabilitation process.

o Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.

3. PreventiveStudent Management

o Conduct school walkabouts and patrols to deter and detectmisconduct.

o Monitor areas for vaping, smoking and other violations of schoolrules.

o Support preventive measures to reduce recurring studentmisconduct.

4. Administration& Coordination

o Maintain proper records of disciplinary cases, rehabilitationplans and student interactions.

o Prepare student progress and case reports.

o Coordinate with external agencies, community partners and familyservice centres where required.

o Attend relevant training, workshops and professional developmentprogrammes.

Qualifications & Experience

1. Diploma from local polytechnic or equivalent, preferably in arelated field

2. 2 years of relevant experience in work involving youth in aprofessional capacity, whether in a school, social service, law enforcement,community or related setting

3. 2 years of experience in conducting investigations or casemanagement

Skills Required

1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the abilityto engage effectively with students, parents and staff

2. Ability to resolve disputes and reduce tensions among students

3. Ability to manage emergencies, student incidents, and safetyconcerns appropriately and professionally

4. Good report writing and documentation skills, including thepreparation of accurate reports, statements and case documentation

5. Ability to build trust and maintain positive stakeholderrelationships, while working independently and collaboratively within amultidisciplinary team

Contract Period: From 1 January 2027 to 30November 2027

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday: 8.00am to 5.30pm (including 1 hour lunchbreak)

Friday: 8.00am to 5.00pm (including 1 hour lunch break)
