Key Responsibilities
1. Investigation of Student Misconduct - The officer will assist the
school's discipline team in conducting fair, thorough, and sensitive
investigations into student misconduct cases. Specific duties include:
a. Gathering information through structured interviews with students
involved in disciplinary cases, including the accused, victims, and
witnesses.
b. Documenting investigation findings accurately and objectively in
accordance with school and MOE guidelines.
c. Preparing clear and concise investigation reports for the
consideration of the discipline committee.
d. Assisting in the review of CCTV footage, written statements, and
other relevant evidence where necessary.
e. Ensuring that all investigation processes are conducted in a fair,
unbiased, and trauma-informed manner.
f. Liaising with external agencies such as the Singapore Police
Force, Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), or
Child Protective Services where cases require escalation.
g. The officer must maintain strict confidentiality of all case-related
information and student records.
2. Rehabilitation & Student Support - Beyond investigation, the officer
will play an active role in supporting students through structured
rehabilitation programmes. Duties include:
a. Conducting regular one-on-one check-in sessions with students
under rehabilitation to monitor progress and provide guidance.
b. Engaging parents and guardians as active partners in the
rehabilitation process through regular updates and joint
meetings.
c. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all rehabilitation
activities and student progress.
3. Preventive Work - The officer will also contribute to preventive efforts
to reduce the recurrence of misconduct. Duty include walkabout in
school to deter and detect illegal activities such as vaping and smoking
and prevent violation of school rules.
4. Administrative & Coordination Duties - Maintaining proper
documentation of all cases, rehabilitation plans, and student interactions
in accordance with school data management policies
a. Preparing progress reports for the School.
b. Coordinating with external agencies, community partners, and
family service centres where necessary.
c. Attending relevant training, workshops, and professional
development sessions as required by the school.
