Student Nurse Intern

• Location: Wichita, KS
• Facility: Ascension Via Christi St. Joseph
• Department: Med Surg
• Schedule: Rotating l PRN

• Deliver direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Document clinical observations and track vital signs and responses.
• Collaborate with preceptor to refine care plans and help shape patient outcomes.
• Prepare and transport patients for diagnostics and testing.
• Continuously engage in observation, training, and learning opportunities.

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • One or more of the following:
    • Instructor specializing in Basic Life Support obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
    • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Preferred Credential(s):
  • Nurse Aide.

Education

• High school diploma/GED required. Must be accepted or enrolled into a Nursing program upon date of hire/transfer and begin classes within 90 days of date of hire/transfer.
