Supervises anatomy lab sessions, ensures specimen safety and compliance with lab policies, and maintains a respectful learning environment for students.

The Anatomy Lab Monitor is responsible for supervising scheduled Open Anatomy Lab sessions and maintaining a safe, respectful, and organized learning environment. This position helps ensure the proper handling and accountability of anatomical specimens, supports laboratory operations, and promotes compliance with departmental safety policies.
Essential Responsibilities
- Open, supervise, and secure the Anatomy Lab during scheduled Open Lab sessions.
- Ensure only authorized students enter the laboratory and follow all laboratory policies and safety procedures.
- Maintain a respectful learning environment that honors human donors.
- Monitor, track, and properly store anatomical specimens using established chain-of-custody procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
- Assist students in locating approved anatomical resources.
- Report safety concerns, equipment issues, damaged or missing specimens, and other incidents to supervising faculty.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies by contacting faculty, Campus Security, or other designated personnel.
