Role Overview
A Studio Manager oversees the daily operations of the dance studio, maintains the standards of customer experience, operations and programme delivery. This role serves as a key point of contact for parents, students, instructors, and external stakeholders, while supporting business growth through enrolment, retention, and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Ops and Admin
- Oversee the daily operations of the studio and ensure smooth running of programmes.
- Coordinates class schedules, room allocations, and teacher timetables.
- Maintain accurate student records, attendance, enrolments, and billing.
- Coordinate registrations for performances, competitions, examinations, and studio events.
- Ensure studio policies and procedures are implemented consistently.
Customer Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective and existing families.
- Handle enquiries, trial bookings, enrolments, withdrawals, and class placements.
- Balance empathetic communication with the fair and consistent application of studio policies to ensure positive outcomes for both families and the studio.
Programme and Event Coordination
- Coordinate recitals, competitions, showcases, workshops, examinations, and community events.
- Coordinate event logistics, timelines, registrations, and communications with participants.
- Assist in planning open houses, trial programmes, and seasonal events.
Team Support
- Support teachers with scheduling, classroom resources, and administrative needs.
- Foster effective communication between management, teaching staff, and families.
Financial Administration
- Process invoices, payment collections, and payment tracking.
- Monitor outstanding payments and prepare billing communications.
- Ensure accurate documentation for financial and administrative records.
Studio Management
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming studio environment.
- Oversee inventory of costumes, uniforms, teaching resources, and studio supplies.
- Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and facility improvements as needed.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Business Administration, Arts Management, Education, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred).
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in administrative management systems.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in dance, performing arts, education, or enrichment industries is an advantage.
