We are a bespoke eyecare boutique creating a unique experience for each client. Alternate View elevates eye care through not only comprehensive care, but also the latest technologies, dry eye treatments, and facial aesthetics, merging personalized eyecare with self-care. While we are a new concept and office, we are backed by a well-established and impact-focused family business with over 80 years of experience caring for Hoosiers. We are seeking an eyewear stylist who has a passion for fashion, personalization and eyewear, and who can apply these interests to crafting a bespoke journey for each client. Stylists will ensure each client is outfitted with a unique eyewear wardrobe that complements their every day and instills a sense of pride.

Who You Are: Our ideal stylist is outgoing, social media savvy, service-oriented, and up to date with trends and technology. Your keen eye for detail and love for fashion will ensure that every client has a wonderful, tailored experience at Alternate View, and that they leave feeling fabulous. You are polished, positive, and energetic, with the ability to multi-task and develop relationships. You also have an interest in curating eyewear wardrobes – matching clients’ eyewear to facial shape, skin tone, and personal style. With your high level of professionalism and expertise in customer service, you will provide personalized styling consultations, handpick recommended eyewear, and share expert advice on frame selection and customized lenses. Responsibilities:

· Elevating and blending the eyecare and selfcare aspects together for a seamless relaxing experience that is like no other

· Guiding clients in selecting frames that complement their facial features (face shape/color theory), style preferences, and prescription needs

· Facilitate multiple pair sales by curating personalized eyewear wardrobes that align with each client's preferences and needs.

· Ensuring every client experiences the highest level of selfcare and vision care including; personalized eyecare, aesthetic treatments & other services as appropriate

· Serving as the trusted resource and advisor for style, self-care, and personal expression

· Tailoring the client experience to exceed expectations and ensure a smooth customer journey

· Intimately understanding all products and services to proactively make recommendations

· Conducting thorough consultations to understand clients’ vision and lifestyle needs

· Providing services to repair damaged eyewear and routine maintenance tasks to extend the lifespan of the clients’ eyewear

· Scheduling appointments, verifying insurance eligibility, answering phone calls, authorizing benefits and managing client inquiries

· Processing accurate orders for exams and eyewear products, including lenses, frames, and accessories

· Staying up to date with trends and technologies

· Maintaining cleanliness and organization of office, partnering with team members to keep boutique looking top-notch.

· Willing to learn about and recommend aesthetic services confidently and proactively

· Other assigned duties

Requirements:

· Optical experience is not required- ability to learn and develop quickly is necessary. However, relevant experience is imperative and might include prior roles in styling, jewelry, luxury sales, or bespoke clothing.

· Experience building strong personal relationship building with others

· Innovative approach to problem solving and generating recommendations

· Provide personalized assistance and recommendations to meet clients' individual needs

· Strong background and passion for curating high-end customer experience

· Expertise in curating a luxury and/or personalized fitting experience

· Proficient with technology; computer, tablet, and navigating multiple windows

· Ability to move seamlessly between technology devices & pinch-hit for teammates as necessary

· Incredible listener, identifying unspoken needs before the client realizes it themselves

· Skilled at adapting to clients, curating the appropriate questions to identify the client’s needs

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach

· Capable of easily partnering with team members to ensure the customer comes first

· Good sense of time management and ability to prioritize tasks

· Positive attitude and a willingness to strive for excellence

· Friendly demeanor and ability to remain calm and customer-focused in the face of challenges

· Availability to work hours of operation
