About the Role

As a Stylist at Stitch Fix, you’ll help clients look and feel their best by creating personalized style experiences that go beyond the box. You’ll leverage both live and asynchronous messaging to deepen client relationships and drive retention, helping clients build confidence and trust in their personal style.

Your style expertise, warm communication, and ability to create highly personalized experiences will help clients feel like they have a trusted Stylist at their fingertips. Whether you’re offering advice for a special occasion, helping a client complete a look, or introducing new items they’ll love, you’ll deliver joy and style while helping shape the future of the Stitch Fix client experience.

This is a remote, hourly, part-time Flex Tier Stylist role requiring 10–20 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility to align with client demand as directed by Stitch Fix.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert style guidance across evolving client channels, including messaging, chat, video, and our in-house styling platform, responding to client requests and creating personalized looks that build confidence and trust.
  • Create thoughtfully styled assortments by leveraging client profiles, preferences, past purchases, style goals, and our ever-fresh inventory, crafting unique Fixes that delight and inspire clients across all shapes, sizes, gender identities, style spectrums, occasions, and lifestyles.
  • Build meaningful client relationships through personalized interactions and a public-facing Stylist profile featuring your photo, which helps clients connect with you and may also be used in Stitch Fix marketing to showcase the human element of our service.
  • Deliver against performance, productivity, and client satisfaction goals while identifying opportunities to strengthen client retention and Stylist-client connections and sharing insights with the broader team.
  • Develop your styling expertise by participating in training and regular check-ins, staying current on company updates and fashion trends, and contributing to a supportive, collaborative styling community that embraces diverse styles and continuous feedback.

How AI and tools show up in your day-to-day work

Technology is an important part of how you’ll deliver personalized experiences at scale. You’ll use Stitch Fix’s in-house styling platform and other digital tools to understand client preferences, create personalized recommendations, communicate with clients, and work efficiently in a remote environment.

You’ll be expected to quickly learn and apply new technologies, including evolving AI-enabled tools and features, as they are introduced. You’ll use these tools to improve efficiency and outcomes while applying your own style expertise, judgment, and human connection to create an experience that feels uniquely personal to each client.

About You

Requirements

  • 2+ years of client-facing styling or apparel experience, with enthusiasm for fashion and a demonstrated ability to create positive customer experiences.
  • Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding performance goals in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to build rapport and trust with clients in a virtual environment.
  • Experience and confidence styling across body types, gender identities, lifestyles, style preferences, and occasions.
  • Ability to rapidly adopt new tools, technologies, and processes and integrate them into your workflow with minimal downtime.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, including Docs and Gmail, Slack, and Zoom, or the ability to quickly learn new tools and systems.
  • A reliable computer with a Chrome browser and high-speed cable or fiber internet with a minimum speed of 10 Mbps.
  • Strong time-management skills, including punctual attendance, accurate timekeeping, and productive work habits that meet operational requirements.
  • Ability to consistently meet the 10–20 hour weekly requirement for this part-time, hourly, Flex Tier Stylist role, with scheduling flexibility to align with client demand as directed by Stitch Fix.
  • A commitment to actively seeking feedback and continuously improving your work for yourself, your clients, and your team.
  • Ability and willingness to maintain a public-facing Stylist profile featuring your photo, which may be used to support client relationships and in Stitch Fix marketing.
  • This position may require the ability to sit for extended periods of time, use a computer or other office equipment, and communicate effectively (verbal and written).

  • Experience delivering personalized styling or customer experiences through digital channels such as messaging, chat, or video.

Compensation

This role will receive a competitive salary and benefits. The salary for US-based employees hired into this role will be aligned with the range below, which includes our three geographic areas. A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s compensation–including a candidate’s professional background, experience, and location. Hourly Rate
$16.50$16.50 USD
