Job Overview:
At Foundation AI, we are seeking a highly detail-oriented and knowledgeable Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support our Legal Operations team. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and resolve document-type queries, provide litigation and Personal Injury (PI) process guidance, and support operational quality and turnaround time (TAT) objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong legal background with hands-on experience in litigation support, document review, and Personal Injury matters. This role is critical in reducing operational dependencies, improving response turnaround, and ensuring seamless delivery quality across teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Litigation & Document Review Support
- Act as the primary point of contact for all internal document-type and litigation-related queries.
- Review, classify, validate, and interpret legal documents related to Personal Injury (PI) matters.
- Provide accurate guidance to operations teams on legal document handling and process workflows.
- Support teams in identifying and resolving complex document-related issues.
- Maintain a centralized query tracker and ensure timely query resolution.
Operational Excellence & Quality Support
- Collaborate closely with Operations, QA, and Delivery teams to maintain customer TAT and quality SLAs.
- Identify recurring process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Support quality initiatives by assisting in error analysis and corrective action planning.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of SOPs, process documentation, and knowledge repositories.
- Ensure compliance with established legal and operational guidelines.
Training & Knowledge Management
- Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and support onboarding/training initiatives for new hires.
- Assist teams in understanding litigation workflows, PI documentation, and legal terminology.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to streamline process understanding and documentation standards.
- Share best practices and process updates with relevant teams regularly.
Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders for escalations and process clarifications.
- Confidently participate in internal meetings and discussions related to process quality and operations.
- Support cross-functional collaboration to improve response time and operational outcomes.
Responsibilities may be tailored based on the candidate’s experience and proficiency.
Skills & Tools :
Experience:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in legal operations, litigation support, or document review.
- Hands-on experience working on Personal Injury (PI), Claim Litigation matters and legal documentation.
- Strong understanding of litigation workflows and legal processes.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing legal documents.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced operational environment.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and documentation tools.
- Familiarity with document review and legal platforms such as Relativity, Canopy, 4IG, E-Discovery tools, or similar applications is preferred.
- Exposure to AI-enabled legal/document processing environments is an added advantage.Preferred:
- Experience supporting US legal processes and Personal Injury cases.
- Prior experience handling operational or process-related queries within legal services environments.
- Experience conducting knowledge transfer (KT) or training sessions
Education: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification even LLB (minimum 12+3 years of formal education) in any discipline is required.
