Position Summary

The Substance Use Disorder Counselor Group Facilitator is responsible for facilitation of various groups, including evidence-based curriculums, psycho-educational, and process groups. They will cover assigned groups in both Residential and Outpatient levels of care as well as covering for staff absences. They will offer clients support in collaboration with the primary clinical team.

Position Responsibilities Description

  1. Work closely with direct supervisor to ensure coverage of all services, including facilitation of group and coverage for colleagues' PTO time across programs.

  1. Assist with on-site crisis intervention.

  1. When needed, provide supportive care to individual clients in collaboration with their primary therapist. Utilize Motivational Interviewing skills when working with clients.

  1. Provide direct and coordinated services to chemically dependent women and their children, utilizing internal program modalities and external linkages when required.

  1. Provide SUD education to clients.

  1. Assist with the coordination of services that support the treatment programs and/or clients.

  1. Complete required documentation for each client service and intervention in the electronic health record.
  1. Uphold, understand, and review all policies and procedures as outlined by Employee Handbook

  1. Attend and actively participate in all supervision, staff meetings, training, and activities required of the position.
  1. Participate in other duties to support general program operations and occasional special programs
  1. Other duties as assigned.
