Substance Use Recovery Internship

What You Will Do:
- Conducting intakes & assessment for individuals served.
- Completing clinical documentation notes.
- Providing counseling in 1:1 individual sessions as well as in groups
- Supporting individuals served with harm reduction strategies.
- Assisting individuals served with aftercare and referrals for community services available.
This internship would run for approximately 300 hours based on college program needs total and would be unpaid, as it is for college credit.
The New View program at BHN in Greenfield, MA serves female-identified patients who have been civilly committed through the Section 35 court proceeding to a designated substance use disorder treatment facility. The program offers acute treatment services (ATS) and clinical stabilization services (CSS).
Who You Are:
- Enrolled in an Associate’s, Bachelor’s and/or Master’s program with a related degree (required).
- Reliable transportation to Greenfield, MA and Springfield, MA (required).
