Substitute I (LEC)
Job Title: Substitute (Life Enrichment Center)
Description:
- Provides assistance and supervision to individuals in the least restrictive treatment model in all programmatic concerns.
- Assists in delivering services to persons with disabilities as required and recommended in the Individual Plan (IP).
- Participates in the development of the Individual Plan.
- Provides personal care as needed: assistance with toileting, dining, bathing, etc.
- Works cooperatively as a team member, to provide the best possible services to individuals.
- Completes daily documentation of responses to training.
- Provides training, supervision and assistance to all persons on all contracts, sub-contracts, IP training goals and community work/volunteer experiences.
- Provides training and opportunities for each individual to exercise choice and individual rights in all aspects of their program.
- Displays sound judgment in exercising responsibility for the safety and well being of all persons served; maintains a safe working environment at all times.
- Provides training, supervision and support to individuals at community-based work/volunteer sites as need.
- Position maybe responsible for driving or being an aide on a van, transporting consumers to/from Day Program. (See appropriate aide or driver job description for additional duties.)
- Serves as an adult/peer model for normative interpersonal relations and foster an atmosphere of self-reliance, cooperation and respect.
- Advocates for human rights in all program decisions.
- Maintains confidentially in all matters related to the individual programs and personal circumstances.
- Attends In-Service training opportunities as scheduled
- Demonstrates knowledge of job duties in conscientious manner with minimal supervision under routine circumstances.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
