Substitute Teacher 2026-2027 School Year
Qualifications
- NJ Substitute Credential (Minimum of 30 completed college semester-hour credits from an accredited college or university)
- NJ Instructional Teaching Certificate (CE, CEAS, or Standard Certificate)
- Background Check
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills; ability to follow lesson plans provided by certified staff
Responsibilities
- Execute lesson plans provided by the absent teacher; maintain existing classroom schedules, routines, and educational goals.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and orderly learning environment conducive to student engagement and success.
- Maintain accurate daily attendance records and leave notes regarding student progress and lesson completion for the returning teacher.
- Comply with all district guidelines, building regulations, and state educational policies, maintaining confidentiality regarding student records.
- Salary: $130/day (flexible scheduling via Frontline Absence Management)
