- Perform detail cleaning duties, in addition to daily cleaning duties, to provide a clean and safe establishment for our guests.
- Help develop ideas and strategies to grow sales and serve more guests.
- Maintain restaurant standards necessary to successfully pass Subway Compliance Audits.
- Lead by example and demonstrate great leadership, respect, and teamwork with new and fellow Team Members.
- Arrive to work with a professional appearance, clean uniform, and name tag.
- Perform each duty with a sense of urgency.
- Safety should never be compromised. Do not take unnecessary risks or shortcuts.
Position Summary
The Subway Floating Manager performs and directs overall restaurant management while providing leadership and operational support across Subway locations throughout Forsyth and Hall Counties. This is a floating management position and requires the flexibility to work at multiple restaurant locations based on staffing levels, business needs, vacations, call-outs, training needs, and other operational demands.
The Floating Manager directs staff to ensure food safety, product preparation, cleanliness, customer service, and operational standards are consistently maintained. This position also maintains restaurant safety and security standards, assists with recruiting and training staff, oversees inventory and money-control systems, and supports local marketing initiatives.
Because this role supports multiple locations, the Floating Manager must be flexible, dependable, adaptable, and comfortable transitioning between stores while maintaining consistent Subway and company standards at each location. Exceptional customer service and the ability to quickly assess and support the operational needs of each restaurant are major components of this position.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Provide management coverage and operational support at Subway locations throughout Forsyth and Hall Counties as assigned based on business and staffing needs.
- Adapt quickly to the needs of different restaurant locations while maintaining consistent company expectations, policies, and operational standards.
- Complete and post staff work schedules as assigned.
- Recruit, reward, coach, and terminate staff as needed and in accordance with company policies.
- Communicate changes in food preparation formulas, operational procedures, standards, and other company expectations to staff.
- Ensure all local and national health and food safety codes are maintained and company safety and security policies are followed.
- Maintain business records as outlined in the SUBWAY® Operations Manual and analyze business records to identify opportunities to increase sales and improve restaurant performance.
- Support local and national marketing initiatives.
- Identify and contact prospective customers to promote sales.
- Plan and support special events and promotions.
- Complete University of SUBWAY® courses as directed.
- Support Restaurant Managers and Team Members with training, coaching, customer service, operational execution, and other needs when providing coverage at a location.
- Maintain strong communication with leadership regarding staffing, restaurant conditions, operational concerns, and opportunities for improvement at assigned locations.
