Success Engineer

You'll talk to our users to understand their goals and challenges, and help them design and optimize their Metabase implementation. You'll guide customers on how to get data from all the various places it lives, transform it into useful shapes, and convert their questions into actual queries that can be executed. You'll solve complex problems and troubleshoot customer issues, collaborate with technical communicators to create educational materials, and serve as the voice of the customer to product and engineering teams to help drive product development.
Responsibilities
- Talk to users to understand their goals and challenges
- Help customers design and optimize their Metabase implementation
- Guide customers on getting data from various sources and transforming it into useful shapes
- Convert customer questions into executable queries
- Solve complex problems and troubleshoot customer issues
- Collaborate with technical communicators to create educational materials
- Serve as the voice of the customer to product and engineering teams
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience writing production code, administering systems, and/or managing databases
- Strong database and SQL skills
- Expert in at least two of: designing and developing web applications, managing infrastructure (Docker, AWS/GCP/etc), managing databases
