REDLattice is seeking motivated and innovative college students to join our Cybersecurity Internship (Software Development) for the summer of 2027. As a member of our Cyber Internship program, your work will directly support real customer requirements and mission impact, from day one. Over the summer, you’ll contribute to the development of modern Computer Network Operations (CNO) tools and capabilities, helping create new access to today’s most advanced mobile devices. You’ll go deep into the cutting edge of device instrumentation, exploit mitigations, and modern research methodologies, tackling some of the hardest reverse engineering targets in the field. Along the way, you’ll be guided and mentored by leading researchers who will help shape the direction of your work and ensure you leave feeling challenged, supported, and fulfilled.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with small software team to design and develop full stack web applications (front-end and back-end).
  • Work with team to integrate software components into mature production-ready Cybersecurity tool.
  • Develop and support scalable backend services and APIs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams including low-level systems, embedded, and hardware-focused teams.
  • Participate in code reviews, version control workflows, and CI/CD processes.
  • Support secure coding practices aligned with mission requirements.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in C, C++, Python, or JavaScript languages.
  • Familiarity with Git and modern software engineering practices.
  • Strong work ethic, eager to learn, and a positive attitude.
  • Must be eligible to receive US Security Clearance.

Desired Skills

  • Rising junior or senior preferred.
  • Experience in full stack web development.
  • Familiar modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, or similar).
  • Backend development experience in Python, Node.js, Java, or similar technologies.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
  • Experience using AI tools to develop, test, and improve code.
  • Exposure to reverse engineering or vulnerability research environments.
  • A passion for learning about cutting-edge offensive cyber techniques and tools.
