Summer House Manager

Under the direction of the Executive Director/ Director of Health Services is responsible for the coordinating supervising and directing the work of the Memory Care/Summer House staff and ensures the resident needs are met according to Federal and State regulations as well as Company Policy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervises all activities of Memory Care to assure quality care.
• Supervises all memory care staff to include; hiring, terminating, couching, training, scheduling and directing.
• Ensures 24-hour provision of nursing services within Memory Care.
• Coordinate and perform resident assessment and plan of care evaluations to ensure residents are at the appropriate level of care and services.
• Complete rounds as necessary, responds to medical alert calls as required.
• Develops and implements a memory care program specifically to meet the needs of the community residents.
• Conducts initial and ongoing State required staff training for residents with Dementia

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Current LVN licensure by the California Board of Nursing. Experience in long-term care community health, geriatric and/or rehabilitative nursing desirable. 5 years’ experience working in a senior community and have supervisory experience.
