Superintendent
Bridge Rehabilitation, Bridge Replacement & Specialty Infrastructure Construction
Position Summary
Freyssinet Inc. is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations across our bridge rehabilitation and infrastructure project portfolio. Depending on assignment, this role will either oversee multiple concurrent projects or take direct field leadership of a single, higher-complexity or higher-value project. This is a hands-on field leadership role: overseeing daily site operations, driving safety and quality, coordinating crews and subcontractors, and serving as the primary field-level partner to our Project Managers and Project Engineers. The ideal candidate has run self-performed heavy civil, bridge, or specialty concrete repair work at scale and is ready to lead multiple crews — whether across several jobs or on one demanding, technically complex project.
Why This Role
Freyssinet Inc. is part of the Vinci Group, a multinational heavy civil construction group with worldwide revenue or about $78 Billion. PMs here get structured technical support from a Division Manager and close partnership with estimating — and strong performers have a path toward General Superintendent or region oversight roles as the company's project portfolio grows.

Coordinates closely with Project Managers and Project Engineers on assigned projects for schedule, budget, and technical alignment. One or more Assistant Superintendents may report to this role on larger or multi-crew projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead weekly planning and prepare project schedules; set production goals for crews and track progress through daily diaries.
• When assigned multiple projects, prioritize and allocate time, crews, and equipment across sites to keep each project on schedule and budget; when assigned a single complex or high-value project, provide dedicated, full-time on-site leadership commensurate with its scale and risk.
• Lead and supervise project foreman and/or assistant superintendent
• Supervise and monitor all daily work assignments of job site crews, providing direction, mentorship, and training.
• Maintain daily communication with inspectors, clients, and agency representatives regarding project status and needs.
• Own the project's QA/QC program, ensuring work meets contract specifications and company quality standards.
• Monitor current equipment needs and forecast future requirements; manage material tracking and deliveries.
• Manage site logistics, including equipment placement, material staging, and overall site organization.
• Coordinate subcontractors and maintain project progress, documentation, and daily reporting.
• Work effectively and proactively with Field Engineers, Project Managers, and Construction/Operations leadership to keep projects on schedule and budget.
• Perform risk assessments and hazard identification; ensure all project and company safety requirements are met.
• Provide field-level training and mentorship to Assistant Superintendents, Foremen, and crew members, building a stronger bench of future field leadership.
• Escalate technical, schedule, or resource issues promptly and partner with the Director of Operations (or Operations Manager) and assigned Project Manager to resolve them.
Qualifications
• 10+ years of progressive experience in project execution with a large-scale self-performing general contractor, concrete contracting firm, or concrete/structural repair company, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Demonstrated experience in self-performing work is required.
• In-depth knowledge of construction principles and practices, with experience managing projects valued at over $3 million.
• Proven ability to lead crews and drive successful outcomes on demanding, schedule-sensitive projects.
• A diverse project background is welcomed, with particular value placed on heavy civil, bridge, commercial, and industrial project experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational and communication skills; comfortable working directly with clients, inspectors, and subcontractors.
• Must be willing to work from the project site up to 100% of the time and report to periodic meetings at the Corporate Office.
