ABOUT VIKTA ENERGY
Vikta Energy is a growing energy infrastructure company delivering commercial and residential solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), DC fast charging/Tesla Supercharging, and electrical construction solutions nationwide.
We self-perform much of our work with our own field teams, and we’re looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to take ownership of field execution as we continue to scale.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a hands-on field leadership position for someone who knows how to run crews, drive production, maintain quality, and keep projects moving.
We’re specifically looking for candidates with construction leadership experience in commercial solar PV, residential solar, BESS, DC fast charging/Tesla Supercharging, and/or related electrical infrastructure.
You do not need experience in every one of these areas, but you should bring a strong background in renewable energy or electrical construction and be comfortable leading complex projects in the field.
As Superintendent, you will serve as Vikta’s primary field representative and work closely with Project Management, Field Operations, Engineering, Procurement, clients, utilities, AHJs, and subcontractors.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Field Leadership
- Lead in-house crews and subcontractors across active project sites.
- Oversee commercial rooftop, ground-mount, carport, residential solar, BESS, and DC fast charging/Tesla Supercharger scopes.
- Set daily and weekly production targets and hold crews accountable for safety, quality, productivity, and workmanship.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, tooling, and site logistics.
- Manage labor hours, overtime, crew utilization, and productivity against project schedules and budgets.
- Train, coach, and develop field personnel while maintaining clear expectations and accountability.
Quality & Safety
- Own field quality from initial layout through final inspection and turnover.
- Inspect work against approved drawings, manufacturer requirements, NEC standards, AHJ requirements, and company standards.
- Identify deficiencies early, document required corrections, and verify completion.
- Maintain inspection logs, punch lists, redlines, and as-built documentation.
- Enforce Vikta’s safety program and applicable OSHA requirements.
- Lead daily JSAs/pre-task plans, toolbox talks, and site orientations.
- Enforce fall protection, electrical safety, LOTO, arc-flash, trenching, and heavy-equipment requirements.
- Stop work when unsafe conditions exist and ensure hazards are corrected before work resumes.
Project Execution
- Build and execute three-week look-ahead schedules with Project Management.
- Coordinate civil, structural, electrical, equipment installation, and commissioning activities.
- Manage material deliveries, site access, laydown areas, equipment, cranes, and lifts.
- Track installed quantities, percent complete, manpower, and labor productivity.
- Identify schedule delays, constructability issues, missing information, and long-lead risks early.
- Escalate challenges with a proposed solution or recovery plan.
- Support RFIs, field changes, and change-order documentation.
Subcontractors & Site Coordination
- Manage electrical, civil, concrete, fencing, testing, and other subcontractors.
- Coordinate daily manpower, inspections, deliveries, and upcoming constraints.
- Interface with owners, GCs, utilities, AHJs, inspectors, commissioning agents, and client representatives.
- Coordinate with Tesla construction teams and other EV charging stakeholders when assigned to Supercharger/DC fast charging projects.
- Maintain a clean, organized, secure, and professional jobsite.
Reporting & Closeout
- Submit accurate daily reports including manpower, completed work, progress photos, delays, weather, and safety observations.
- Maintain project redlines and turnover documentation.
- Support as-builts, torque logs, testing documentation, commissioning checklists, and O&M turnover packages.
- Support final inspections, utility witness testing, commissioning, and client walkthroughs.
- Drive punch-list completion before crews demobilize.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of construction supervision or field leadership experience.
- 3+ years leading crews within commercial solar PV, residential solar, BESS, DC fast charging/Tesla Supercharging, electrical construction, or a closely related field.
- Experience directly managing in-house field crews, not solely subcontractors.
- Strong understanding of field production, construction sequencing, QA/QC, and jobsite safety.
- Ability to read and build from civil, structural, and electrical drawings.
- Working knowledge of solar/electrical construction methods, NEC requirements, and field installation practices.
- Experience coordinating multiple trades and scopes on active construction sites.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Journeyman Electrician license.

Per diem is provided in accordance with company policy while traveling.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
You deliver projects safely, on schedule, within labor expectations, and with minimal rework or outstanding punch items.
You build strong crews that execute to standard without constant supervision. You communicate field conditions early so Project Management and Operations are never surprised.
Most importantly, you own the jobsite. You identify problems early, bring solutions forward, and take pride in delivering a clean, safe, high-quality project from mobilization through turnover.
If you’re an experienced field leader with a background in solar PV, BESS, EV charging, or electrical construction and want to help build the next generation of energy infrastructure, we’d like to hear from you.
