Help Families Grow & Connect – Join Our Team as a Part-Time Supervised Visitation & Tracking Monitor!

Are you a college student interested in hands-on, people-oriented experience? Someone looking to earn extra money on your evenings, weekends or time off from your other job? A retiree looking for part-time meaningful work to leave a positive impact in your community?

The Family & Children’s Center in Winona, MN is looking for compassionate, reliable and motivated individuals to join us as Part-Time Supervised Visitation/Tracking Monitors. In this role, you aren’t just a part-time worker — you’re the bridge that allows children to maintain vital bonds with their parents in a safe, supportive environment.

Why You’ll Love This Role:

  • Meaningful Impact: Directly support local families navigating difficult transitions and circumstances.

  • Flexible Schedule: Perfect for those seeking extra income without a full-time commitment (evening, weekend and holiday shifts available.) Ideal for students balancing coursework and other commitments and those looking to pick up a few extra hours per week in a fulfilling role.

  • Resume/Experience Builder: Rewarding and early-career opportunity for students looking to enter the human services, psychology, criminal justice, healthcare or education fields.

  • Welcoming Environment: Join a team dedicated to the safety and well-being of children and their families, ensuring both children and parents feel comfortable and supported.

  • Variety of Responsibilities: Your day may consist of transporting children to and from visits, interacting with families, tracking juvenile and adult clients by phone or unannounced visits, performing breathalyzer tests and urine analyses, attending training sessions, and/or completing documentation.

  • Perks and Benefits: Along with a flexible schedule, you will also accrue vacation time, earn referral incentives when eligible, and you’ll receive your first pay increase upon completion of orientation! (Our starting rate also just increased by $2/hour!)

What You'll Do:

  • Transportation of children to and from visits (creating kid-friendly music playlists is encouraged!) Create a calm and positive environment for the kids while ensuring they feel supported and comfortable in situations that may otherwise be overwhelming and stressful.

  • Supervise visits between non-custodial parents and their children, maintaining a high level of safety and communication with all participants.

  • As mandated reporters, any alleged or suspected child abuse and/or neglect must be reported. Invention or the ability to end visits that aren't positive experiences for the child may be necessary

  • Complete face to face or phone checks of clients in their home, community, or school setting as scheduled.

  • Perform Breathalyzer test and urine analysis when necessary.

  • Complete documentation of performed services and submit within the expected timeframe.

  • Participate in required training and regularly attending staff meetings in conjunction with maintaining reliable attendance and timeliness.
