General Information

Education: Bachelor's Degree or Engineering Degree completed

Languages: Intermediate English

Knowledge: IATF 16949, Manufacturing, automotive industry, management and leadership of work teams, core tools, OEE indicators, and problem-solving methods.

Experience: Minimum 2 years in personnel supervision positions within the manufacturing area, resource management, operational decision-making, operations control, operational personnel management, automotive industry experience, and team leadership.

Technical Skills: Team management, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, line balancing, previous knowledge of payroll pre-processing, and labor relations (basic).

Direct Reports: Production Leaders

Internal Customers: Materials, Quality, and Engineering

External Customers: All company customers

Functions and Responsibilities

1. Provide support in the administration of production personnel.

2. Supervise production schedules to achieve at least 95% compliance.

3. Provide training and support to production personnel.

4. Control employee overtime without exceeding the budget.

5. Control workforce quantity to ensure it does not exceed planned levels.

6. Support the immediate supervisor with the following metrics:

a. % Compliance with the production schedule

b. % Compliance with the autonomous maintenance schedule

c. % Scrap generated per shift

7. Conduct KPI meetings with the multidisciplinary team to identify areas for improvement and create action plans assigning responsibilities and execution dates.

8. Maintain records of the previous three points as evidence of completed activities.

9. Carry out continuous improvement activities based on lean manufacturing tool implementation to reduce downtime and waste.

10. Provide direct support in new projects involving machinery, equipment, and installations.

11. Participate in contingency plans for any emergency situations involving equipment/machines/dies.

12. Participate in the development, implementation, and recordkeeping of procedures and work instructions related to ISO 16949 and IATF.

13. Provide support for EHS activities (Environment, Health, and Safety).

14. Perform other activities according to company needs and ensure the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of the environmental management system at all applicable organizational levels.

15. Report back to top management regarding the environmental management system, including environmental performance and opportunities for improvement.
