POSITION: Supervisor, EVS
DEPARTMENT: Engineering
GRADE/FLSA STATUS: S15--Exempt
BADGE TYPE/COLOR: Blue--Key
REPORTS TO: Shift Manager, EVS; Manager, EVS
SUPERVISES: Heavy Duty Cleaner; Lead Cleaning Specialist; Cleaning Specialist
JOB SUMMARY:
Ensure the highest level of cleanliness is maintained throughout the facility.
JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise cleaning of casino interior and immediate exterior
Prepare and maintain employee work schedules for routine cleaning
Plan, schedule, and supervise non-routine cleaning projects
Conduct pre-shift meetings
Order supplies and control inventory levels
Train subordinates, providing each with the knowledge, development, and appropriate direction to perform their responsibilities
Provide continuous positive coaching for development of employees and appropriate corrective action when necessary
Ensure timely and accurate performance appraisals and accurate work history entries
Exhibit sound decision-making with emphasis on motivating team and maintaining high morale
Participative member of the team by volunteering and being involved in projects, committees, and task forces, by providing input and suggestions
Proactive with incidents and issues, ensuring resolution with employees
Responsible for, or actively participates in, the initiation of personnel actions, including but not limited to: interviews, training, candidate selection, terminations, performance reviews, promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions
Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner
Establish and endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision, and Values
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED required
Three years of experience in housekeeping or environmental services is required
One year of supervisory experience is required
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and meet company driver eligibility requirements, including fewer than three moving violations and fewer than three accidents within the past three years, and no disqualifying driving-related incidents within the past three years, including suspension of driving privileges, DUI/DWI convictions, reckless driving convictions, two or more speeding violations exceeding 25 mph over the posted speed limit, or any citation for unlawful cell phone use while operating a vehicle
Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:
Proficient in the use of Windows-based office software, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene
Ability to work independently
Documented teamwork behaviors and attitudes
Ø Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent technical skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, and carry 5 pounds
Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality, including secondhand smoke
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
