Summary

Supervises IT Specialists and manages day-to-day IT operations at Rivers Casino Philadelphia, including help desk support, system installations, and network administration using Cisco and VMware technologies.

Summary: Perform diversified duties required to install, move, and maintain computing systems and applications as well as support users and gaming systems across the Enterprise. Works with the IT team to provide seamless technical services. Must be able to effectively supervise, manage and mentor IT Specialists I and II. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Rivers Casino Philadelphia’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards, and objectives.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manages the day-to-day operations of the IT Specialists, including the Help Desk and oversees work requests regarding installation of systems, voice/data network connections and coordinating work with users.
  • Supervises IT Specialist I and II, ensuring all projects and technical issues are resolved according to Service Level Agreements.
  • Responsible for assisting the department manager in managing all IT property support activities at Rivers Casino Philadelphia; including: the planning, procurement, installation, implementation, on-going support, and administration of all major technical systems located at the property.
  • Responsible for training new IT hires on the company's IT systems and procedures. This includes providing them with the knowledge and skills they need to be successful in their role.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance for all hardware and software. Works closely with appropriate resources to resolve issues.
  • Maintain a current understanding of all IT policies and guidelines regarding information security, including the Rivers Casino Philadelphia IT Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner.
  • Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
  • Responsible for evaluating the performance of the IT team and providing them with feedback. This helps to ensure that everyone is meeting their goals and that the IT department is functioning at its best.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with Cisco enterprise networking equipment.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with VMware Virtualization Software.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have strong technical skills.
  • Must Stay up-to-date on the latest IT trends.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Can Manage IT projects.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT.
  • Previous supervisor experience preferred.
  • Experience in Developing and implementing IT policies and procedures.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Duties, responsibilities, requirements, and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by a 24-hour 7 day a week schedule.

Physical and Mental Demands:

  • Must be able to move through all areas of the casino as well as lift up to (30) pounds.
  • Must be able to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.
  • Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid Gaming license.
  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
