Job Title: Supervisor of Alternative Programs

Contract Days: 240 days

Reports to: Deputy Superintendent

Qualifications of Employment:

• Master's Degree in Education
• Building Leadership Licensure
• Supervisory/Administrative experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Job Summary

• Oversight of Alternative Education programs and systems.
• Hiring, supervising, training, and evaluating personnel.
• Collaborate with district and campus leaders to develop programs that meet the needs of students with alternative learning needs.
• Participate in professional development meetings and conferences that enhance leadership.
• Oversee the instruction and curriculum of the programs.
• Ensure that reports, records, and other required documents are maintained according to regulations.
• Implement and maintain an effective referral process.
• Maintain fiscal reports and submit to the state and district as required.
• Develop budgets and monitor expenditures.
• Oversee processes of student intake, evaluation, goal setting, choice of instructional activities, materials and strategies, and monitoring student progress results.
• Establish a system of referring students to other entities to provide students with further assistance.
• Collaborate with community stakeholders and partners.
• Other duties as assigned
