Summary
Supervises a team managing university property and equipment inventories, ensuring audit-ready records and compliance with regulations.
Oversees inventory control operations, including supervision of property & equipment inventory clerks. Ensures continuity of property control operations and systems. Executes internal physical inventories and serves as a contact for external auditors. Develops and enforces inventory policies and procedures to maintain operational effectiveness and audit readiness.
- Provide supervisory oversight to ensure continuity of property control operations and adherence to institutional regulatory requirements.
- Manage the asset management system to maintain accurate, up?to?date inventory and property control records.
- Lead and support a team of property control staff, including workflow coordination and performance guidance.
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct annual physical inventories, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation of institutional assets.
- Oversee the recording, tracking, and reporting of assets throughout their lifecycle, ensuring audit?ready documentation.
- Develop and implement a new annual inventory training program to support institutional compliance and staff readiness.
- Manage service requests related to inventory and asset management through the TeamDynamix application.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external inventory audits and conduct periodic spot checks to ensure accountability and compliance.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of property control operations and asset management systems, including audit compliance requirements, institutional regulations, and inventory management best practices.
- Skilled in supervising and leading teams, with the ability to provide direction, coordinate workflows, and oversee the performance of multiple property control staff.
- Ability to plan, conduct, and oversee large-scale physical inventories and ensure accurate recording, tracking, and reporting of institutional assets.
- Strong capability to develop, update, and implement inventory policies, procedures, and training programs, ensuring organizational accountability and readiness for internal and external audits.
- Proficient in using inventory management tools and service request platforms, such as TeamDynamix, and performing spot audits and verification checks to maintain data integrity and operational effectiveness.
Education
- High School diploma or GED is required.
