We have reimagined our contingent staffing plan with a new Enterprise Resource Pool that offers many options for flexibility, variety, and career growth, while supporting our collective mission to deliver outstanding whole-person care to our flourishing communities. The Common Spirit Mountain Region Enterprise Resource Pool consists of both clinical and allied roles that flex or float throughout the Common Spirit Mountain Region system. Associates within the Enterprise Pool will have the opportunity to float to multiple units within one facility, a geographic group of facilities, or to all of our facilities. This pool will provide additional resources to support and supplement the workload and staffing needs across the system.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Supervisor, RN Patient Flow, you will provide critical oversight and departmental leadership within the Inpatient Bed Placement Center, ensuring efficient patient throughput. Every day, you will engage in employee development, quality improvement, process creation, and scheduling. You will support services by updating, researching, and maintaining databases, and directly supervise Bed Placement Coordinators to ensure policy adherence. You will facilitate all goals for the Bed Placement Center, providing leadership in daily operations, managing and executing daily throughput activities, and overseeing staffing alignment decisions in CCSO. To be successful, you will possess strong leadership, clinical expertise, and organizational skills. Your ability to manage staff, drive efficiency in patient flow, make sound clinical judgments, and adapt to a dynamic environment will be crucial in optimizing bed placement services.
- Oversee and manage daytoday department operations when Census Director not present.
- Meets the needs of staff in onboarding process, ongoing competency and professional development initiatives.
- Adjusts staffing to maintain productivity standards.
- Oversees bed placement coordinators and acts as clinical expertise for decision making.
- Assists leadership in performance evaluation documentation.
Job Requirements
Required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing at hire, BSN within two (2) years of hire
- Two (2) years clinical RN Experience
- One (1) year clinical leadership experience (Charge Job Role, Relief Charge (2000 hrs=1 yr) RN Clinical Coordinator, House Supervisor, ANM, MgrClinical Nursing, Director Clinical Nursing, CNO (Nurse Educator experience 3 years=1 year)
- RN License to practice in state of employment
