Job Summary

You will manage site operations by monitoring progress, assigning tasks, and ensuring compliance with safety and building codes. Lead and train teams effectively, coordinate materials and subcontractors, and communicate clearly with workers, including Tamil speakers.

Responsibilities

Site Management and Operations

• Monitor daily work progress to ensure project milestones are met
• Assign daily tasks to team members to optimize workflow and productivity
• Read and interpret blueprints to guide construction activities accurately
• Order building materials timely to prevent work delays
• Identify and resolve work delays to maintain project schedules

Safety and Compliance

• Enforce safety rules consistently to maintain a safe work environment
• Inspect equipment regularly to ensure operational safety
• Identify and report site hazards promptly to prevent accidents
• Follow local building codes to ensure regulatory compliance

Team Leadership

• Train new crew members to build team capability and performance
• Hire subcontractors to supplement workforce as needed
• Lead team meetings to communicate goals, progress, and issues
• Track worker attendance to maintain accurate labor records
• Communicate instructions clearly to workers, including explaining in Tamil when necessary
