1.Construction Site Supervision

  • Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities at the project site.
  • Ensure construction works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project schedules.
  • Monitor the progress of building works and ensure activities are completed within the required timeframe.
  • Coordinate the work of workers, subcontractors and site personnel.

2.Work Planning & Coordination

  • Plan daily work activities and allocate manpower according to project requirements.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, quantity surveyors, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Organise work sequences to ensure smooth and efficient site operations.
  • Identify potential delays and report them promptly to the project management team.

3.Manpower Supervision

  • Supervise local and foreign construction workers and ensure proper deployment to work areas.
  • Monitor worker attendance, productivity, discipline and work performance.
  • Provide workers with clear instructions regarding assigned tasks and work methods.
  • Ensure workers have the necessary tools, equipment and materials to perform their duties safely and efficiently.

4.Quality Control

  • Inspect construction works to ensure they meet approved specifications and required quality standards.
  • Monitor workmanship for structural, architectural, finishing and other building works.
  • Identify defects and coordinate rectification works with relevant workers and subcontractors.
  • Assist in inspections, testing and handover activities.

5.Workplace Safety & Health

  • Ensure workers comply with Singapore workplace safety and health requirements and site safety procedures.
  • Conduct regular site checks to identify unsafe conditions and work practices.
  • Ensure appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is used.
  • Report accidents, incidents, hazards and unsafe practices to the appropriate management personnel.
  • Conduct or assist with toolbox meetings and daily safety briefings.

6.Materials & Equipment Management

  • Monitor the availability and proper use of construction materials, tools and equipment.
  • Coordinate material deliveries with suppliers and site teams.
  • Check delivered materials against project requirements and report shortages or damage.
  • Minimise material wastage and ensure proper storage of construction materials.

7.Subcontractor Coordination

  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors carrying out specialised construction works.
  • Ensure subcontractors follow approved work schedules, drawings, specifications and safety requirements.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and workmanship.
  • Report delays, defects or non-compliance to the Project Manager or relevant management personnel.

8.Drawings & Technical Coordination

  • Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications.
  • Coordinate site works based on approved architectural, structural and M&E drawings.
  • Highlight discrepancies or site issues to engineers and project managers.
  • Ensure construction activities are carried out according to the latest approved drawings and instructions.

9.Site Inspection & Progress Monitoring

  • Conduct regular inspections of ongoing works.
  • Monitor project milestones and daily work progress.
  • Maintain records of completed works and outstanding activities.
  • Assist management in preparing daily and weekly progress reports.

10.Cost & Resource Control

  • Assist in controlling manpower, material and equipment usage at the construction site.
  • Monitor material consumption and minimise unnecessary wastage.
  • Ensure efficient utilisation of available resources.
  • Report potential cost increases or additional work requirements to management.

11.Housekeeping & Site Organisation

  • Ensure construction areas are kept clean, organised and free from unnecessary hazards.
  • Coordinate proper disposal and removal of construction waste.
  • Ensure tools, equipment and materials are stored safely and systematically.
  • Maintain good site housekeeping throughout the construction process.

12.Coordination with Project Management

  • Provide regular updates to the Project Manager or Operations Manager regarding site progress.
  • Report construction problems, delays, manpower shortages, material requirements and safety concerns.
  • Assist in resolving site coordination issues and implementing corrective actions.
  • Participate in site meetings and coordination meetings when required.

13.Regulatory & Project Compliance

  • Ensure site activities comply with applicable Singapore construction requirements, approved plans and project specifications.
  • Support inspections by clients, consultants and relevant authorities.
  • Maintain required site records, permits, inspection records and other project documentation as directed.

14.Handover & Defects Management

  • Assist with final inspections and project handover activities.
  • Prepare and monitor defect lists and coordinate rectification works.
  • Ensure outstanding works are completed within the required timeframe.
  • Support the project team during completion, testing and handover stages.
