SUPERVISORY ACCOUNTANT

Serves as the final technical authority on mission related issues and is responsible for supervising a work unit and/or units performing mission essential or support activities which facilitate the mission of the Departmental Reporting Directorate.

Overseeing work for a complex suite of Fund Balance with Treasury (FBwT) reporting related to Statement of Transactions (SOT) and accruals.

Develops the team/organizational unit work plan, prioritizes workload, and makes assignments considering difficulty and complexity of work and employees' capabilities and level of training and preparation.

Assists the employee in developing performance standards and major performance objectives; works with the employee in the development of their individual development plan; appraises the performance of each team member.

Serves as an accounting expert and working supervisor in the Directorate.

Adapts, revises, and evaluates DoD and department level accounting procedures, reports, and operation within a major financial management system.
